"The Barn" suspected shooter has been arrested

Jasper, TX A man accused of shooting another man in the head on Friday night on Cr 119 in Jasper has turned himself in this afternoon.
47-year-old Mureia Donta Napoleon of Jasper was booked into the Jasper County Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 2nd Degree Felony.
Witnesses stated that the two men got into an argument in the parking lot of “The Barn” and Napoleon pulled a handgun and shot the man in the head. The victim is in stable condition at a Houston hospital.
Napoleon is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Chuck Havard and his staff are committed to combating criminal activity in Jasper County.
