Man shot in north Jasper County, incident under investigation

On Friday, May 9th, at approximately 11:53 p.m., Jasper County Deputies were dispatched to an establishment called The Barn, located at 188 Cr 119 in Jasper in reference to a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they were told a 40-year-old man had been shot and was transported by personal vehicle prior to their arrival. The incident stemmed from a verbal altercation between two subjects in the parking lot. The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann in Houston in stable condition.

This incident is currently under investigation.
