I began working as the Editor at the Kirbyville Banner back in 2009. I also spent time working for KJAS with Jay Sharp at their Woodville station, KWUD Radio.

Back in my early years of reporting I worked for the Jasper Newsboy as a reporter with a young reporter by the name of Amanda Barlow. She would eventually become Amanda Rodriguez as well as the owner of the Kirbyville Banner, changing the name back to the East Texas Banner in 2021.

I also worked for the late Charlie Gee with Texas Logger Magazine, reporting on Logging related events.

I was for a brief stint reporting for Texas House of Representative's James White.

I have worked for the banner on and off from '09 to '23. I absolutely love the People of Southeast Texas and the Kirbyville/East Texas Banner!
