Teenage burglary suspect evades capture once again

5-22-25

JASPER, TX- Today makes one full week that local law enforcement have been trying to capture a 15-year-old burglary suspect. Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard even met with the boys family to try to enlist them to encourage the boy to give up. So far, that has not happened.

Yesterday evening, at 5:45 pm, a Department of Public Safety Trooper saw the boy standing outside of a house on Cr 135 in Jasper. As soon as the suspect saw the DPS vehicle, he immediately fled on foot and has not been seen since...at least not by law enforcement.

The only description given of the youth is that he is a 15-year-old black juvenile.

Each time he flees, he earns himself one additional evading arrest charge to go with his mounting list of charges he has already acquired.
