SAN AUGUSTINE & SABINE COUNTIES, Texas — Criminal accusations against former Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Warden and “Lone Star Law” television personality Justin Charles Eddins have expanded into a multi-county fraud case, with three new indictments issued out of Sabine County.
The new charges come only weeks after a San Augustine County grand jury indicted Eddins, 47, on allegations that he used another person’s name and credit to secure sizeable loans from Southside Bank between March 2022 and November 2023. That indictment alleges the value of the loans ranged between $150,000 and $300,000.
Now, Sabine County steps in with its own indictments
According to information released Tuesday, a Sabine County grand jury has returned three additional felony indictments, each alleging the same offense:
False Statement to Obtain Credit in Provision of Certain Services.
The Sabine County indictments involve two additional financial institutions:
Sabine State Bank in Hemphill
Doches Credit Union in Nacogdoches
The alleged offenses date back to March and July of 2022 and each involve loans reportedly valued at more than $30,000.
These new cases appear to be separate and unrelated to the larger-dollar San Augustine County indictment, establishing what now appears to be multiple alleged fraudulent transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
Court & Case Status
The Sabine County indictments now place Eddins under felony scrutiny in two separate East Texas jurisdictions. Each case remains active through the district courts, and additional filings, hearing dates, and procedural actions are expected in the coming weeks.
East Texas Banner will continue monitoring both counties for updates as the cases progress.
