SAN AUGUSTINE, Texas - A San Augustine County grand jury has indicted Justin Charles Eddins on a charge of making a false statement to obtain credit, according to court records.

The indictment accuses Eddins of intentionally and knowingly making a materially false or misleading written statement to Southside Bank between March 2022, and November 2023. The indictment alleges Eddins used another person's name and credit to secure loans valued between $150,000 and $300,000.

Eddins was the Texas Game Warden featured on the TV Show "Lone Star Law" disarming a man with a machete a few years back.

San Augustine Sheriff's Office stated, "Eddins bonded out the same day."

Update:

Texas Parks & Wildlife, in Austin, has confirmed that Eddins is "no longer employed with the Texas Parks and Wildlife as of October 23, 2025.”
