Louisiana Man Arrested after Two-County Chase Early Monday Morning, Now Held on a $950,000 Bond

HARDIN COUNTY, TX-
39-year-old Julius Terrell Nix was arrested in Kirbyville sometime after 3:00 a.m, early Monday morning following a high-speed chase that stretched from Lumberton to Kirbyville reaching speeds of more than 100 MPH.
Nix was arraigned Wednesday morning at the Hardin County Sheriff's Office and was charged with 3 counts of Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance 4gm<400gm $200,000 bond on each charge, 1 count of Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance 2gm>200gm $200,000 bond, 1 count of Tampering with Evidence $75,000, 1 count of Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle $75,000 bond for a total of $950,000 in bonds.
As previously reported, Nix miss-judged his speed when he attempted to turn on FM 363 in Kirbyville and slammed into a tractor-trailer hauling a load. Seconds after the accident, Nix fled on foot and was finally located some time later, south of the Bon Ami Road in Kirbyville.
