Kirbyville man stopped for bicycle violation, arrested on felony warrant

Jasper County Sgt. Chris Wade, and Deputy Jacob Spivey were patrolling the Kirbyville area Sunday afternoon when Sgt. Wade made a traffic stop on 33-year-old Dante Thomas of Kirbyville for a bicycle traffic violation.
Once Deputy Wade checked Thomas' information, he was found to be wanted by Jasper County for Bail Jumping/Failure to Appear for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, a 2nd Degree Felony.
Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
As always, Thomas is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
