Woman Arrested in Kirbyville on Burglary, Assault Charges

KIRBYVILLE, TX — A Jasper woman was arrested Tuesday following a reported disturbance at a residence in Kirbyville.


On February 17, 2026, Deputy Shannon Davis was dispatched to the 17000 block of FM 252 in reference to a physical disturbance.


According to information released by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, deputies learned that Tyler King, 34, of Jasper, and her husband had gone to the residence to drop off a child who had stayed with them overnight. During the exchange, a verbal altercation reportedly began between King and occupants of the home.

Authorities say the situation escalated when King allegedly followed the occupants into the residence, became aggressive, and attempted to strike one of the individuals. A physical altercation then ensued.


Following an investigation, deputies determined that King unlawfully entered the home and committed assault.


King was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Assault, a second-degree felony. She was also taken into custody on a felony probation warrant out of Louisiana.


King was transported to and booked into the Jasper County Jail.


She is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.


Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard said his office remains committed to combating criminal activity throughout Jasper County.
