Warren Woman Arrested After Brief Foot Pursuit on Multiple Felony Warrants

WARREN, Texas — A Warren woman was taken into custody Wednesday morning after attempting to flee from Tyler County deputies who were serving felony arrest warrants, according to the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were patrolling the Warren area around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, when they stopped at a residence just east of Warren on FM 1943 in an effort to serve active felony arrest warrants.
At the residence, deputies made contact with Amber Boyett, 31, of Warren, and advised her that she had active arrest warrants issued out of Tyler County District Court. Authorities say that after being informed of the warrants, Boyett ran out the back door of the residence and fled into a nearby wooded area.
After a brief foot pursuit, Boyett was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.
Boyett was transported to the Tyler County Jail, where she was charged with:
Felony Abandoning/Endangering a Child
Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance
Assault/Family Violence
Evading Arrest with Previous Convictions
Justice of the Peace Tina Self set bond amounts totaling $105,000.
The incident remains under investigation.
