Votaw man arrested in Buna on child sexual assault charges

Buna, TX Monday afternoon at approximately 2:00 PM, a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the Buna Sub-courthouse regarding a wanted fugitive with outstanding San Augustine County warrants.

When the deputy arrived, he arrested 72-year-old Sim Able Jr. of Votaw for 3 warrants. One warrant was for Indecency with a Child-Exposure, a 3rd Degree Felony, and the other two warrants were for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child-both 1st Degree Felonies.

Abel is considered innocent until proven guilty in court of law.
