UPDATE: DPS Releases Details on Three-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 190 West

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released new information regarding the three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 190, near the Cypress area of Jasper County, on Friday afternoon, November 14, 2025.
According to the preliminary investigation, the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. as a Jeep Gladiator and a Kia Niro were traveling westbound and had stopped for a school bus. DPS reports that the driver of a Buick Enclave failed to control her speed, striking the rear of the Kia and pushing it into the Jeep.
The driver of the Jeep, a 33-year-old woman from Silsbee, was not injured.
The driver of the Kia, a 50-year-old woman from Chester, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Buick, identified as 18-year-old Cheyenne Finley of Jasper, was also transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Finley was cited for failing to control her speed.
DPS reports that no additional information is available at this time.
