JASPER COUNTY, Texas — On Thursday, October 2, 2025, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) joined forces with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to apprehend a wanted fugitive at a residence on FM 1005 in Jasper.
Officials confirmed that Marty Duane Hargroder, 66, of Jasper, was taken into custody without incident. Hargroder was wanted in Orange County on a charge of Resisting Arrest, and also by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Pardons and Parole Division for a parole violation.
Following his arrest, Hargroder was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
As with all criminal cases, authorities remind the public that Hargroder is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Chuck Havard emphasized his office’s commitment to public safety, stating that JCSO will continue working closely with federal and state partners to pursue fugitives and combat criminal activity in Jasper County.
