Tyler County Man Arrested After K9 Alert in Livingston

Livingston, Texas — A Tyler County man was arrested overnight in Livingston after a roadside investigation led to the discovery of methamphetamine.
According to the Livingston Police Department, officers deployed K9 Bear during the stop. The police dog alerted on the vehicle, prompting a search that revealed narcotics paraphernalia and a plastic bag containing a white substance. The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

The driver, a 53-year-old male from Chester in Tyler County, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (PCS) and transported to the Polk County Jail.
Livingston Police noted that K9 Bear continues to play an important role in intercepting dangerous narcotics and keeping the community safe.
