Two-vehicle accident Thursday resulted from a u-turn in front of other vehicle

KIRBYVILLE, TX- On Thursday afternoon, at around 12:30 pm, a two-vehicle accident happened on FM 82 near the Newton County line. The Texas Department of Public Safety and Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Department were called out to the scene.

According to DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark, a Chevrolet SUV driven by 17-year-old Cameron Riddle of Kirbyville was traveling East on 82, then pulled to the right and made an unsafe u-turn in front of a Dodge Ram being driven by 77-year-old Dinah Jones of Call, which was also traveling East and was struck.

Riddle and his two passengers, a 16-year-old and 15-year-old did not report any injuries. Jones also reported no injuries.
