UPDATED: Two-Vehicle Accident in Kirbyville Wednesday Sends One to JMH

UPDATED INFORMATION

At approximately 5:00 pm on Wednesday, the Kirbyville Police Department and Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Department were called out to South Margaret Street, in front of Brookshire Brothers for a two-vehicle accident.

According to the report, 29-year-old Kaitlyn Amber Busby of Jasper was driving a 2014 black Volvo XC60. She was traveling northbound in the 1000 block of South Margaret Avenue. 59-year-old Kelly Ann McAdams of Kirbyville was reportedly pulling out from the Stellar Bank parking lot in a 2021 red Nissan Murano when she struck the Volvo in the right front quarter panel and side.

Kirbyville Police Officer Ashley Arce said that while both women experienced minor injuries, only Busby was transported to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital via Allegiance EMS for treatment.

McAdams was cited for failure to yield right of way.

Vehicles were towed by Patrick's Wrecker Service.
