Two-vehicle accident in Kirbyville sent one to the hospital

At 12:15 Thursday, the Kirbyville Police Department and Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Department were called out to S. Margaret at Freddye St. for a two vehicle accident.
Kirbyville Police Officer, Ashley Arce said that 76-year-old Kathleen Gordon, of Kirbyville, was driving a 2014 Jeep Wrangler. She moved over into the turning lane facing South, waiting to turn left on Freddye St. Seconds later, 31-year-old Kathryn Reeves, also of Kirbyville was driving a 2016 Ford Explorer and she also moved into the turning lane, but failed to stop, rear ending Gordon's vehicle.
Reeves was cited for failure to control speed and was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Reeves vehicle was towed by Patrick's.
