Two-Vehicle Accident in Kirbyville Sends One to JMH

KIRBYVILLE, TX-
At 3:45 p.m. on August 7th, Kirbyville Police and Kirbyville First Responders were called out to W. Martin Luther King St. and 2nd Avenue for a two vehicle accident.
Kirbyville Police Officer, Ashley Arce said that 39-year-old Charles Crawford was driving a 2007 red Chevrolet HHR. Crawford was traveling East on MLK. At that same time, 32-year-old Breonna Quarles, also of Kirbyville, was driving a 2019 white Honda Accord, traveling West when the two vehicles collided in the tight curve, damaging the drivers side of both vehicles.
Crawford received a citation for Driving With an Expired License. Quarles was cited for Driving With a Suspended License, and was also cited for Expired Registration.
Kirbyville Police Officer Scott Duncan said that both parties were treated on scene by First Responders Steve Sowder and Larry Gentry for non-life-threatening injuries. Crawford was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital by Allegiance Ambulance Service for additional treatment of his injuries.
Crawford's vehicle was towed by Patrick's Towing and Recovery and Quarles car was towed by the owner.
