Two-vehicle accident Friday, resulted in no injuries

At approximately 1:12 pm Friday, July 11th, Jasper County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety were called out to U.S. Highway 96, near County Road 593 for a two vehicle accident.
The wreck happened in front of Gateway Tabernacle, south of Kirbyville.
According to the report, a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica was traveling south on Hwy 96, in the inside lane. At the same time, a 2012 Honda Accord was also traveling south, but in the outside lane. The driver of the Chrysler reportedly changed lanes, from the inside to the outside lane before it was safe, striking the Honda.
The driver of the Chrysler Pacifica, identified as 46-year-old Heather Conklin of Buna, was not injured.
The driver of the Honda Accord, identified as 71-year-old Luther Corum of Jasper, and one adult passenger, were also not injured.
