Two Crashes in 16 Hours Keep Beech Grove VFD Busy

BEECH GROVE, TX — Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department responded to two separate motor vehicle accidents within a 16-hour period, both resulting in vehicles leaving the roadway. No injuries were reported in either crash, though both incidents resulted in arrests by state troopers, according to Beech Grove VFD.
First Crash – FM 2799 at CR 099
BGVFD was dispatched at 11:07 a.m. to a motor vehicle accident on FM 2799 at County Road 099.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a Ford work truck overturned in a ditch on the south side of the roadway. Two occupants — the driver and one passenger — were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
No injuries were reported. One occupant was arrested by Texas state troopers.
Beech Grove VFD responded with Brush 11 (B11) and six firefighters.

Second Crash – U.S. Highway 190
BGVFD was later dispatched at 2:38 a.m. to a second accident on U.S. Highway 190, just east of County Road 190.
Responding units located a Dodge truck stuck in the ditch on the north side of the roadway, with visible damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. The driver was the sole occupant.
No injuries were reported. The driver was arrested by state troopers.
Beech Grove VFD responded with Brush 12 (B12), Engine 11 (E11), and eight firefighters.

Investigation
Both accidents were investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
Beech Grove VFD reminds motorists to slow down, stay alert, and drive responsibly, particularly during overnight and early-morning hours when roadway conditions and visibility can change quickly.
