Trout Creek VFD Wins Big and Gives Back

Trout Creek Volunteer Fire Department rolled home with top honors at the 2025 Emergency Vehicle Car Show, taking 1st place and a $500 prize.

Instead of keeping the winnings, the department turned right around and donated the money to the Kirbyville Police Department’s Santa’s Toy Box, helping make sure local kids will have gifts under the tree this Christmas.

The gesture highlights the strong bond between first responders and the community they serve — showing that when one agency wins, the whole town benefits.
