Tri-Community responded to a small brush fire today

At 1:26 pm today, the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a woods fire of unknown size on US 96 South.

The first arriving units reported a slow-moving small ground cover fire.

Firefighters used small hand tools to get around the fire and had it under control within minutes of arrival.

Tri-Community responded with 1 Brush Truck and 6 personnel.
