Tri-Community fought ground cover fire on Friday

Today at 12:57 we recieved a dispatch for a woods fire on CR 533.

Units arrived to a ground cover fire that had spread into an overgrown fence row.

We were able to quickly contain the fire to less than an acre.

We spent the next hour with saws and hand tools clearing out hot spots to ensure everything was out and there were no more threat to property.

We responded with Brush 1, Brush 2 and Engine 3.

A total of 9 firemen responded.
