Tri-Community and Roganville VFD's battled barn fire-all animals were saved though barn was lost

Today at approximately 10:40am Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a barn on fire down County Road 474.

First arriving units found heavy fire visible from the front of the structure.

They immediately requested mutual aid from Roganville Volunteer Fire Department for manpower and tanker support.

Firefighters donned PPE and airpacks and made an interior attack to suppress the fire.

They were able to quickly get the fire under control and start salvage activities.

Unfortunately the barn was a loss but the animals in the barn were all saved and no other property damage was incurred.

Tri-Community responded with Engine 2, Engine 3, and Tanker 1 with 7 personnel.

Officer in charge Unit 61.

Roganville responded with Tanker 1, Engine 2, and 5 personnel.
