KIRBYVILLE, Texas — Trent B. Morgan has officially announced his candidacy for a seat on the Kirbyville Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees.
Morgan, a 2015 graduate of Kirbyville High School, said his family has called Kirbyville home for more than four generations. Now raising his two daughters in the community, Morgan said his decision to run is rooted in a desire to support and strengthen the local school district for current and future students.
In his campaign announcement, Morgan emphasized maintaining a high standard within the district for students, faculty, and administration.
“Greatness needs to continue to be the standard that we set forth to achieve every day as a school district,” Morgan stated. “Our children deserve nothing less.”
Morgan said his priorities include advocating for students and staff, preparing students for life after graduation, and taking what he described as a proactive approach to district leadership. He also expressed interest in working collaboratively with administrators, educators, and community members to ensure students have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
“My goal as your next school board trustee is to help lead our district to that standard,” Morgan said, adding that he looks forward to speaking with residents and earning their support.
The KCISD school board election is scheduled for May 2, 2026.
Additional candidate announcements will be published as they are received.
