Town Bluff Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Drug Arrest, Deputies Seize Meth and Paraphernalia

TOWN BLUFF, Texas — A late-night patrol in the Town Bluff/Dam-B area resulted in a felony narcotics arrest after Tyler County Sheriff’s deputies discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop.
According to the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Deputies stopped a Nissan Frontier on FM 1746 near the Victory in Jesus Church for a traffic violation.
Deputies identified the driver as Lynette Miles, 52, of the Town Bluff community. After developing probable cause, deputies obtained consent to search the vehicle.
During the search, deputies located two baggies of methamphetamine along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia, including pipes and assorted materials photographed and released by the Sheriff’s Office.
Miles was arrested and transported to the Tyler County Jail. She is charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) after deputies reported seizing 8.9 grams. Justice of the Peace Tina Self set bond at $50,000.
Sheriff Bryan Weatherford credited the deputies’ alertness during routine patrol for removing dangerous narcotics from the community.
This arrest remains under investigation. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
