Today's storms downed trees throughout our area

During todays onslaught of weather, high winds and rain proved hazardous on some area trees.

At 1:30 this afternoon, Kirbyville volunteer fire department was called out to Hwy 1013 East to block and divert traffic as a large tree was being removed from the roadway.

Thankfully there were no injuries and the tree was quickly taken care of.
