Three vehicle accident South of Evadale resulted in no injuries

On Monday afternoon, the Evadale Volunteer Fire Department and the Department of Public Safety were called out to Hwy 96 South of Evadale for a three vehicle accident.
According to the DPS report, at 5:20 p.m., Monday, June 23rd, a Nissan pickup was traveling south on Hwy 96, followed by a Dodge passenger car. It is reported that the driver of the Dodge failed to control his speed when the Nissan slowed down due to construction in the area and slower moving traffic. The driver of the Dodge attempted to move to the right to avoid a collision but struck the rear of the Nissan and also the rear of a Ford pickup.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 50-year-old Kevin Hogan of Silsbee, was not injured.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as 25-year-old Hunter McGallion of Warren, was also not injured as well as the driver of the Ford, identified as 25-year-old Juan Cordova of Dallas.
