Three Candidates File for Jasper ISD Trustee Election May 2

The candidate list is now finalized for the upcoming Jasper Independent School District board of trustees election set for Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Three candidates have officially filed to run for three full three-year terms on the board.

Incumbents Ira Bean and Tracie Wolfford have both filed for re-election. Also filing for a seat is Rashad Lewis.

The seats up for election include those currently held by Bean and Wolfford, along with the seat previously held by Tiffany Porter, who resigned from the board in the fall of 2025 before completing her term.

Early Voting

Early voting by personal appearance will be held April 20 through April 28, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday at the City of Jasper Municipal Building, located at 465 South Main Street in Jasper.

Election Day Voting

Election Day is Saturday, May 2, 2026. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters must cast ballots in the precinct where they are registered.

District 1

Those portions of Jasper County precincts 7, 20, and 21 located inside the City of Jasper District 1 Mount Olive Baptist Church 1942 North Main Jasper, Texas 75951.

District 2

Those portions of Jasper County precincts 7, 8, 20, and 21 located inside the City of Jasper District 2 Parnell Elementary School 151 Park Street Jasper, Texas 75951.

District 3

Those portions of Jasper County precincts 7, 8, 20, and 21 located inside the City of Jasper District 3, and portions of Jasper County precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 19, and 20 located outside the City of Jasper but within Jasper ISD City of Jasper Municipal Building 465 South Main Jasper, Texas 75951.

District 4

Those portions of Jasper County precincts 6, 7, 8, and 21 located inside the City of Jasper District 4 Jasper High School 400 Bulldog Avenue Jasper, Texas 75951.
