Jasper’s 14th Annual Christmas in the Park packed Sandy Creek Park on Saturday, drawing thousands of visitors from across Southeast Texas for one of the biggest holiday turnouts the city has ever seen.
Families spent the day enjoying a huge variety of food trucks, craft vendors, shopping booths, kids’ activities, and holiday displays throughout the park. Santa and Mrs. Claus were crowd favorites, and train rides ran nonstop from morning until night.
Live music from J.A.G. and The Mockingbirds kept the energy high leading into the evening festivities.
This year’s festival brought something completely new — an all-new Drone Show, the first ever for Jasper. The synchronized holiday-themed light display lit up the sky over Sandy Creek Park and had the entire crowd cheering. Immediately after, the city continued its tradition with the annual fireworks show, giving families a double finale that was a major hit with attendees.
With free admission, free parking, and trolleys moving visitors throughout the park, the event saw steady crowds all day long. City staff and volunteers kept everything running smoothly as families poured in by the thousands to kick off the holiday season.
