Texas Senator Robert Nichols met with Jasper-Newton Long Term Recovery in Kirbyville today

With the recent flooding events, many families are still struggling to get the help they need to rebuild and to get back on their feet.

There was recently a link that the public was asked to utilize for reporting storm and flood damages to homes or businesses in each area. These numbers were needed to determine the dollar amount of damages in each location. However, once the numbers were tabulated, our area could not reach the mandatory threshold for FEMA assistance.
