Texas A&M Forest Service to Host Centennial Event in Call

CALL, Texas — The Texas A&M Forest Service invites the public to join in celebrating the 100-year anniversary of Texas state forests with a centennial event at E.O. Siecke State Forest on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The family-friendly fall festival will feature more than 20 booths from local partners and state agencies, providing activities, exhibits, and educational opportunities for all ages. Guests can explore the rich history of the state forest and its historic fire towers, enjoy hayrides, visit with Smokey Bear, and take part in a tree giveaway. Firetrucks and other interactive displays will also be on site.
Located at 1452 FM 82, Call, TX 75933, the E.O. Siecke State Forest is one of Texas’ oldest state forests, playing a vital role in forestry research, wildfire management, and conservation.
