KIRBYVILLE, TX- At 7:40 Wednesday morning, Kirbyville Police Officer Ashley Arce, and Kirbyville Police Officer Scott Duncan were called out to the Kirbyville Wash Tub laundry mat regarding a vehicle that crashed into the building.

Arce said that when they arrived, she spoke with the driver, 47-year-old Allan Pierce of Kirbyville. According to the report, Pierce said that as he was pulling into the parking lot, he realized that the brakes were not working and he thought that the curb in front of the building would stop the car. It did not stop the car, and the Honda SUV went through the window and the right wall and did not stop until it was inside the establishment.

Arce said that Pierce had no drivers license and no insurance. The man was prevented from driving the car, however, the laundry mat owner, Dianna Fomby did not have the vehicle towed.

Remarkably, there were no injuries reported.

Once the investigation was complete, Arce took Pierce, his passenger 24-year-old Raven Ibarra, and a 2-years-old child to Gateway Motel, where the family had been staying.
