Kirbyville, TX Friday night at approximately 9:10 p.m., 37-year-old Brett Atkins of Kyle, Texas was arrested for a theft from earlier today from the Kirbyville Barn Feed Store in Kirbyville.

A social media post from earlier this evening was released by Jasper County Sheriff's Office and it didn’t take long to get the truck and the suspect identified. Atkins was located and arrested. He is charged with Theft and was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
Atkins is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Chuck Havard would like to thank the Kirbyville Police Department and the public for their assistance. We will not tolerate people taking property that doesn’t belong to them. We will always work quickly to put these offenders in jail.
