Someone burglarized the home of a recently deceased Jasper man

On Monday afternoon, a family member of a deceased homeowner arrived at their loved ones home located in the 500 block of Milam Street in Jasper only to discover that the door was open and someone had burglarized the property.

The family member called 911. The woman told dispatch that her recently deceased family members trailer had been broken into, and she wanted to make sure no one was in the residence.

An officer arrived and made sure no one was left hiding in the house. At that time the family member sought prosecution for the burglary.
