Skeletal remains in Buna identified as homeowner

Jasper County Information Deputy, Karli Cherry said that a grim discovery was reported on Tuesday afternoon in Cougar County.

A family member went to a residence located on Feidshau Rd., in Cougar Country over concerns that a loved one had not been heard from in quite some time. Upon arrival, the body of 73-year-old Ronald Racca was discovered in an advanced stage of decomposition. Racca had somehow fallen on the ground next to the porch. There was a good bit of brush and weeds in the yard, so the body was concealed until that time.

Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Mike Smith conducted the inquest and has ordered an autopsy.

Cherry added, "Foul play is not suspected, and this is an active investigation pending the autopsy results".
