Single vehicle accident sends two to the hospital on Thanksgiving Day
The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a crash on U.S. Highway 96, at the Neches River bridge, that occurred Thursday, November 23.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 3:05 p.m., a 2002 Toyota Tacoma was traveling south. It is reported that the driver failed to drive in a single lane to the left and struck the guard rail.
The driver, identified 40-year-old Cody Holmes of Evadale, and one passenger, 39-year-old Alexander Thornton, were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
