VIDOR, Texas — The Vidor community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 14-year-old Kristine “Krissy” Danielle Jones, a Vidor High School freshman who passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, October 11.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, there were no signs of trauma found on Krissy’s body. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence, and an autopsy has been scheduled. Toxicology results could take several weeks to be completed.

Vidor ISD spokesperson Bryan Brassard shared a statement describing Krissy as “a light to those who knew her,” adding that her loss will be deeply felt by classmates, teachers, and the entire school community.
