Sex Offender Arrested in Buna on Felony Probation Violations

BUNA, Texas — Jasper County deputies arrested a man Monday evening on felony warrants related to probation violations tied to previous sex-offense convictions.

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Roy and Deputy Kaylor met with adult probation officers at the Buna Sub-Courthouse at approximately 6:30 p.m. During the meeting, a 24-year-old male from Votaw was taken into custody on two active felony warrants for Motion to Revoke Community Supervision out of San Augustine County.

The individual was previously placed on probation for:

• Online Solicitation of a Minor, and

• Possession of Child Pornography

Deputies transported him to the Jasper County Jail following the arrest.

Sheriff Chuck Havard issued a statement emphasizing the department’s commitment to community safety.

“My staff and I are committed to combating criminal activity in Jasper County,” Havard said.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that the suspect is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
