A few light showers may pop up this morning, but the real concern begins this afternoon. Radar shows a large area of storms building across Central and West Central Texas—and they're headed our way.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move into our region between 3–7 PM, with the Lakes Area at higher risk for strong storms.

The National Weather Service has placed areas including Woodville, Beaumont, Lake Charles, and Leesville in a 10–14% tornado probability zone, with a significant risk for EF2 or stronger tornadoes.

Another round of heavy rain is possible Wednesday morning before conditions briefly calm later in the day.

Be prepared. Secure outdoor items, review your tornado safety plan, and stay weather-aware throughout the evening. Keep your devices charged and tuned into local alerts.
