Around 1 p.m. today, Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident just south of the FM 252 and County Road 1005 intersection in Erin.
According to the department, first responders located the driver upon arrival and immediately evaluated her for injuries. Thanks to her seat belt, the woman sustained only a minor scratch — a rare happy ending to what could have been a much worse situation.
While Jasper Exxon Towing & Recovery worked to remove the vehicle, firefighters handled traffic control to keep the scene safe for responders and passing motorists.
Tri-Community VFD responded with Engine 2, Brush 2, Rescue 891, and a crew of eight personnel.
The department reminds drivers to always buckle up — it made the difference today.
