The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a child reported to have occurred in 2015.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began after a victim made an outcry to the agency’s Patrol Division. The case was subsequently referred to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID), where detectives conducted a comprehensive investigation that included the collection of evidence and witness statements related to the alleged incident.
As a result of the investigation, detectives developed leads identifying a suspect, Timothy Cook. Based on the totality of the circumstances and evidence gathered, charges were filed against Cook for Sexual Assault of a Child, resulting in the issuance of an arrest warrant.
In December 2025, the warrant was executed by the Bee County Sheriff’s Office, and Cook was taken into custody. Authorities confirmed that Cook has since posted bond and is currently awaiting trial.
The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
