Prison bus is struck by object breaking window on Dam B Bridge. Driver of other vehicle continued without stopping

The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a non-injury crash on U.S. Highway 190, on the Dam B Bridge, in Tyler County that occurred today, March 28, 2024.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 8:32 a.m., a Lasalle Corrections transport bus, which was transporting 26 prisoners, was traveling west, while a commercial motor vehicle was traveling east. It is reported that as the vehicles passed each other, something struck the driver side window of the bus, causing it to break. The commercial motor vehicle continued east and was not located.

The driver and 26 prisoners were not injured. The driver is identified as 30-year-old Kedarion Wilkins of La.
