JASPER, Texas — The City of Jasper Light and Power Department has announced a planned power outage for a small section of the city beginning Thursday, October 9, at 8 a.m.
According to city officials, the outage will affect approximately 10 customers along Willow Drive and Highland Drive. Crews will temporarily remove main power lines to safely allow for the removal of a large tree that poses a risk to the electrical system.
Once the tree work is complete, power crews will reinstall the lines and restore service as quickly as possible. City workers have already gone door to door to notify all affected customers.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate everyone’s patience as we complete this safety-related work,” city officials said.
Anyone with questions or concerns may contact Jasper Light and Power Customer Service at 409-384-4651.
