Updated: Man who fell out of a boat at Mill Creek has died

4:40 update:

The man, identified as 59-year-old Brad Hensley, of Jasper, has unfortunately died after falling into the water at Mill Creek State Park.


Hensley was located under about 8 feet of water. Paramedics took him to Jasper Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Jasper County rescue officials are searching for a man who fell out of a boat at the Mill Creek boat ramp just before 11 am this morning. The caller states that they are unable to locate the man.


Jasper County dispatch said that the man's phone is pinging on the Jasper county side.


First responders are actively searching and they just launched from both the Twin Dikes and Tiger Creek boat ramps.


EMS has also been dispatched to stage at the Twin Dikes boat ramp while first responders are actively searching.


Lake Rayburn Volunteer Fire Department is also assisting with the search.


ETB will keep the public notified as new information becomes available.
