Obituary of Waynette Seamans

December 25, 1948 - November 13, 2025

Waynette Seamans, 76, of Chester, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas.

Visitation will begin 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Seamans Cemetery in Chester. Officiating will be Brother Hails Taylor. Serving as pallbearers will be Drake Toler, Truett Toler, Kolt Toler, Robby Wellborn, Mike Hughes and Doug Hughes.

Waynette was born December 25, 1948 to Homer Odell and Annie Mary Reeves Seamans in Woodville. She was a native and lifelong resident of Chester, and a member of the Chester Baptist Church. Waynette enjoyed watching basketball, softball, and football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Chester Yellowjackets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Annie Mary Seamans; sister, Sandra Seamans; and brother-in-law, Ben Wallace.

She is survived by her sons, Toby Toler and wife, Sarah of Lumberton and Ross Toler and wife, Bridget of Woodville; daughter, Kaylee Toler of Chester; sister, Kay Wallace of Chester; grandchildren, Zoey Helpenstill, Drake Toler, Tegan Toler, Kolt Toler, and Truett Toler.
