Wayne Warren Westbrook, 64, of Houston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on November 24, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.
Wayne was born on November 23, 1961, in Houston to Ruthie Rogers and the late Maxie Warren Westbrook. He and his family moved to Colmesneil, where he attended school. After school, he worked for his dad and his grandparents. He eventually worked as a truck driver for the Houston Food Bank and NAPCO.
Wayne was a great husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, and friend to many. The chosen grandchild of Doc and Paulene, he was always happy and carefree, with a smile on his face, and was known for his great hugs. His co-workers knew him as Happy Hour, Turkey Tom, because he was born on Thanksgiving, and Baby Jesus.
Preceding him in death were his dad, Maxie Warren Westbrook; stepdad, Joe Rogers; grandparents, Doc and Paulene Westbrook, and Happy and Ella Wilder; brother-in-law, Jerry Parra; and sisters-in-law, Vicky Parra and Linda Parra.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debroah Parra Westbrook; sons, Jessy Warren Westbrook and Jack Warren Westbrook (Arlette); grandson, Josiah Wayne Warren Westbrook; mother, Ruthie Rogers; sister, Lisa Ogden (Tommy); sisters-in-law, Margie Parra, Wander Anderson, and Carmen Parra; brother-in-law, Lawrence Parra; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2 pm at the Hill Cemetery in Pennington, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jessy Westbrook, Jake Westbrook, Roger Stone, Kenneth Westbrook, Bubba Westbrook, and Tommy Ogden.
