With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Russell Hebert, a loving Father, PawPaw, Brother, Uncle, Friend, and Cousin. Russell was called home on Friday, August 8, 2025.

Russell was born on August 18, 1962 in Orange, Texas to Ruston & Delta Hebert. Russell had a love for people and making new friends. He had a friendly face and smile that made people feel welcome. A perfect day in his life was spent cooking outdoors with his cast iron, listening to music, and visiting with family and friends. He just didn’t cook, he felt it was a ministry he was allowed to help people by feeling their souls with good food. He also loved spending time outdoors and fishing. Quality time fishing also led to spending time with loved ones.

Russell’s greatest joy in life was his family. He loved hard and he loved big. His pride and joys were his children and especially his grandchildren. He loved teaching his grandchildren to build and use their hands. He loved projects that included building bird houses, tractors, or whatever else he could find just to spend time with them.

Russell leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his sons Russell Hebert and Robert Hebert; daughters Ashley Hebert and Amber Hebert; sister Lena Vice; grandchildren Elliott and Ruston; and a former wife, who remained a friend, Samantha Hebert. He is preceded in death by his parents Ruston & Delta Hebert, and brothers Raymond Hebert and Harry Hebert. Russell may be gone from our sight, but he leaves us with lots of wonderful memories and love that will go on forever in his children and grandchildren. Condolences can be posted at www.shultzfuneralhomeofjasper.com, on Facebook at Shultz Funeral Home & Crematory, or on Instagram at Shultzfh.
