Obituary of Roger C. Mooney

July 16, 1951 - October 15, 2025

Roger C. Mooney, 74, of Woodville, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Woodville Health & Rehab Center in Woodville, Texas.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Roger was born July 16, 1951 to Edgar and Avelene Goss Mooney in Cumming, Georgia. He was retired tire technician from Lanier Tire & Wheel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Avelene Mooney; sisters, Catherine Tate, Wilma Vaughn, Ruby Martin, Thelma Mooney, and Dorothy Reed.

He is survived by his son, Aron Mooney; daughter, Sandra Roland; sisters, Margie Green, and Martha Hartsfield; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to charity of choice.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.
