Obituary of Robert Wesley Owen III

December 12, 1982 - October 12, 2025

A Visitation to Celebrate the Life of Robert Wesley Owen III, age 42, of Jasper, Texas will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Stringer Funeral Home, Jasper, Texas.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Wesley Owen III, better known as Bobby or Cupcake to most. Following a long, hard fought battle with cancer, Bobby passed away at home on October 12, 2025 with his parents by his side.

Bobby was born on December 12, 1982 in Houston, TX, but was a long-time resident of Jasper. After high school, he served in the United States Army until receiving an honorable medical discharge. He was a devoted son, grandson, brother and uncle, but was most proud of being a father. His children, Isabella Nicole Owen, age 8, and son Dylan Lee Nichols, age 24, were his absolute pride and joy.

He cherished his work family at Few Ready Mix/Texas Materials, where he made lifelong friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his grandfathers Robert Owen Sr. and Tom Moncus.

Gone from our sight, but never our hearts. He is survived by his parents Robert and Teri Owen of Jasper, daughter Isabella Owen of Jasper, son Dylan Nichols and wife Cheyenne of Milam, sisters Crystal Mendoza and husband Johnny of Richmond, Brittany Walkoviak and husband Brad of Tomball, brother Collin White of Silsbee, grandparents Norita Moncus of Jasper, Robert and Nancy Bates of Livingston, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
